I would like to assure all my constituents that I will be voting to keep no-deal on the table as a viable option for our exit from the EU.
No-deal is not my preferred method of withdrawal from the EU and clearly does not command the approval of the house.
However, removing it as an option reduces our authority and does not help us get to the conclusion which the majority of my colleagues and my constituents want - an orderly and smooth exit from the EU on the 29th of March this year.
The no deal option must be kept in play to ensure that we enjoy the maximum leverage in our negotiating position.
