One hundred years ago, on this day at 11am, the guns fell silent and the Great War finally came to an end.
Each year on this day we come together to remember not only the Great War, but also the sacrifice of British and Commonwealth troops who have fallen on battlefields since.
I attended the remembrance services in both Bude and Stratton, but there were events across North Cornwall and I would like to thank all the organisers and attendees who marked today's anniversary of the armistice.
We shall remember them.
