Scott has welcomed the launch of a new All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Entrepreneurship.
The group, which will be headed by Havant MP Alan Mak, will see MPs meet to devise ideas and policies to help aspiring business people.
As the MP for North Cornwall, Scott has a Six Point Plan which shares similar aims to that of the new group to help the business sector.
Scott said:
“Part of my Six Point Plan for North Cornwall is to help and promote Business and Tourism. The only way to have a business which creates jobs and wealth is to have that person at the start who has the drive and passion to start a business and grow it into something successful.
“My role as an MP is to explore ways of helping people and in this case, it means helping aspiring business people access the resources and finances they require.
“I’m really looking forward to meeting with the group to discuss ideas about how MPs and the Government can help entrepreneurs. There are many small businesses in North Cornwall which are the backbone of our economy, and its vital we continue to support business people.”
The launch event was also attended by Business Secretary Sajid Javid.
