Scott Mann has visited Tregadillett Primary School near Launceston and St Mary’s Catholic Primary School in Bodmin to present pupils with prizes for entering his 2016 Christmas Card Competition.
Scott said:
“This year I wanted the Christmas card that I send to friends, family, colleagues, the Queen and the Prime Minister to be designed by pupils attending primary schools in North Cornwall.
“I also wanted to encourage other children who would not normally enter a picture competition to feel involved and this is why I included the Christmas cracker joke. I invited all primary schools in North Cornwall to take part.
“I had hundreds of entries for both the picture and joke competitions, and choosing a winner was a difficult decision. In fact I received so many jokes that I felt I should pick a winner and five runners up. This morning I had the pleasure of visiting two schools to announce the winners and present prizes to the winning children.
“I want to thank all the children who took part and the teachers and parents who helped them. I also want to extend my thanks to Four Way Printers in Launceston for printing the cards, and to Camel Creek Adventure Park for kindly providing a ticket for each of the two winning classes to go and have a day out next year.”
