North Cornwall’s MP Scott Mann was very pleased to accept an invitation to visit Kilkhampton school after the children wrote to him.
The pupils in the Widemouth class have been learning to write formal letters inspired by the COP26 meeting and have been discussing reducing their carbon footprint.
Mr Watson, Headteacher said:
“The children had written letters to Scott Mann about how they were looking after the environment. They really enjoyed meeting him and Councillor Tilbey and asking questions about their work and issues they were interested in.”
Scott Mann MP said:
“I was really impressed with the letters which the children sent to me so I was delighted to visit the school. I learned a lot about what they are doing for the environment in school and at home, and hear about the Eco-representatives that they have in each class."
