Scott Mann has paid visit to fishmongers in Port Isaac and Wadebridge to celebrate National Seafish Week and promote the fishing industry in North Cornwall.
Fishing is one of the most important industries in North Cornwall due its many coastal communities, and Scott is keen to see it benefit from EU reform due to the current situation of redtape and UK fishing stocks being plundered by foreign countries.
Scott Mann visited the Old Forge Fish Shop in Wadebridge and Dennis Knight Fish Merchants in Port Isaac to discuss the effects of EU legislation on the industry as well taking a look at their recent catches.
Scott said:
"It was great to go along to visit and celebrate the food industry in Cornwall. As the MP for North Cornwall I would like to see fishing promoted in Westminster and I will do all I can to help businesses get access to markets without red tape getting in the way.
"Fisherman need support due to the challenges they face, and they are at the heart of my desire to see a reformed European Union."
