I welcome comments on my social media pages and appreciate debate and differing views which I am always happy to hear. It is my office policy to ensure that all correspondence is properly logged and held in a secure and confidential way. Therefore, I encourage North Cornwall constituents to contact me directly so my team and I can assist them with a range of issues.
However, I will not tolerate abusive, threatening, hateful, obscene, libellous, or aggressive comments or behaviour, or people who seek to engage in nuisance posting on my page persistently. This includes ‘spamming’ comments which are off-topic onto several threads. My social media exists to inform North Cornwall constituents about my work in Parliament and to promote local issues only.
I reserve the right to remove comments or prevent access to my social media from any users who are deemed to be engaging in any of the above practices in breach of my social media policy. I reserve the right to report any comments deemed to be racist, homophobic, or other hate speech to Social Media companies or other appropriate authorities. I also reserve the right to remove unsolicited endorsements or third-party advertising.
If you need to raise an issue with me urgently then please either email [email protected] or telephone my office on 01208 74337 in the first instance.
If your comment has been removed and you wish to discuss the matter, then please email [email protected].
